Tom Martin

Ollie Durnford
Shooting Producer Director.

Mike is the driving force behind Brightfire. A skilled engineer, chemist and pyrotechnician, Mike has been building things and then blowing them up since he can remember. As well as running the Brightfire business Mike takes a hands-on role in much of the company’s activities. Behind the camera he has contributed to Top Gear and The Grand Tour, and in front of the camera he has appeared on shows including How Hacks Work, Food Unwrapped and Strange Evidence.

A talented artist and maker, there isn’t much that Tom can’t turn his hand to. Working as a car mechanic, prop builder and SFX technician Tom has produced props for Hollywood movies and been the brains and hands behind extraordinary vehicles and pyrotechnic stunts for top TV productions including Top Gear, The Grand Tour and The Apprentice.

Ollie graduated university with a first, and unlike many of his colleagues, he was already working within Film and TV. As a talented director, cinematographer, and producer,  Ollie heads up many main aspects of production. From emails to epilogues, Ollie is a hands-on contributor, constantly keeping the Brightfire timecode ticking.
